Vinitra Consulting was established from a combination of exposure to the Structural Engineering, Architectural and Site Construction sectors, since 2003. Tertius Kruger, being a qualified Detail Designer and Surveyor as well, gained involvement by assisting other service providers in their processes for one of South Africa's largest Property Portfolio companies. The survey processes were done by utilizing only handheld laser and manual measuring equipment, a pen, paper and photo documentation.
Tertius quickly saw the need to improve on the accuracy of large scale properties, when the service started gaining interest from other parties. By implementing the Totalstation to the process, it revolutionized the accuracy across large areas of complicated buildings. As time and technology progressed, the need to improve even further became paramount for Data Collection and improved site work. With the implementation of the 3D LiDAR Surveying equipment further revolutionized the processes of developing digital documentation. Today, Vinitra Consulting is proud to be able to certify the high calibre of deliverables they produce.
The single point data collection of an unknown point's X, Y, Z location with reference to a known point's X, Y, Z location. The robotic Totalstation allows for a single operator operating the Totalstation remotely. It has the ability of direct laser targeting and collects millimeter accurate positioning, by removing the manually operated, less accurate measuring staff.
The dense millimeter accurate dataset collection of the shape or form of static elements or objects. The accuracy of this data collection is processed to a range of 1-5mm and results in a consistent, accurate, digital environment for numerous applications in Architecture, Engineering, Construction and Manufacturing. This dataset, combined with a 360° spherical photo view, holds great value to not only the design specialists but also efficient data for Real Estate, Building Maintenance, Forensics and Logistics, to name a few.
A dense group, consisting of millions of points in a X, Y and Z digital environment, where each point is also referenced to RGB colour by combining photography and LiDAR captured surfaces. Each point has a fixed location, resulting in the accurate representation of the environment around the scan location. By registering (connecting) these various scan locations, results in a computing limited digital representation. Typical example, essentially the same as if you are physically standing anywhere on the site (surrounded by the elements or objects) with a tape measure in your hand, being able to measure anything you can touch but without the means of a ladder for high areas, all from the comfort of your office chair.
This is the accurate to scale representation of an object, element, construction or natural formation in a drawing, model or document format. This data is the direct result of prior surveying combined with the processing and draughting of the surveyed results. Raw Point Cloud or Surveyed Data is not utilized as a formal design or alteration processes and therefore Raw Data must be developed to represent the environment in either a Plan or Model format.
Whether the intended project is a new or renovation project, an accurate platform for the Architectural or Engineering design process is required. Often this existing platform is outdated, inaccurate or even non-existing documentation. By implementing the accurate platform prior to any planning or design, mitigates the possibility of rework when inaccuracies are only discovered upon site commencement work, resulting in redesign and standing time claims.
By being able to utilize a Point Cloud scan within the office of a complete property, the asset and operation teams can now have a 3 dimensional document of every portion of the property. Within the Point Cloud, data of all assets within the property can now be documented directly on the Point Cloud giving the opportunity to be able to visualize and locate the specific asset to scale and the documentation.
To determine the highly accurate Cut & Fill of soil works on site, mitigates the submission of incorrect payment claims and safeguards both the client and contractor. The 3D Survey of the area prior to any activity is compared to a 3D Survey done after the works have been completed. These two datasets are overlayed and with our software we can automatically calculate accurate volumes.
Due to the highly accurate As-Built plans we provide, our team can calculate the rentable areas of a property with high accuracy, ensuring no discrepancies arising. We are directly related to the SAPOA institution, ensuring only that the most recent methods are followed. The highly intelligent software utilized for the final deliverable, allows for easy use of the documentation for the client.
The starting point of the compliance process is with the updated Architectural and Structural floor plans of the property. From this the followed disciplines, whether Mechanical or Electrical etc. can proceed to build upon the platform provided. By utilizing Point Cloud Data together with As-Built Plans, allows for less time spent by various parties to obtain information from site. Our team also provides the full management of this process, relieving the client from the stress of managing this internally.
The ability to be able to verify construction against designs during the construction phase by utilizing interval 3D Surveying throughout the construction phase, assists greatly in clash detection, early incorrect construction, on-site variation order documenting, snap-shot recording and improved progress claims being submitted.
